- 2023-12345 — search by certificate number to jump straight to a specific tax-certificate record.
- smith* — wildcard / prefix. The trailing word always prefix-matches, so smit finds SMITH in an owner name.
- "john smith" — quotes lock the phrase. Both words must appear adjacent, in order.
